General H. Hugh Shelton, USA (Ret.) served in the United States military for 37 years and has commanded at every level, including the 82nd Airborne Division, the XVIII Airborne Corps, as the Joint Task Force 180 Commander leading the Haiti Operation, and as Commander-in-Chief of the US Special Operations Command. In 1997, he became the 14th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and served two terms as the nation’s principal military advisor to the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense and the National Security Council. In 2001, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II and in 2002 was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. General Shelton was a member of the board of directors of Anteon International Corporation from 2002 until 2006 and is currently a Director of the Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Red Hat, Inc., CACI International, Ceramic Protection Corporation and Robbins-Gioia.
